Day 76+77: Towards Toulouse

In the morning I got the bike out of the garage and bought some stuff at the small market.

Having breakfast on a small wall at the river in Le Rozier, I was joined by two french guys. Romain and Jean-Baptiste also cycle a lot, they were very interested to hear about my trip. They were living in Toulouse and recommended to see the town.

I left Le Rozier along the Tarn.

In Millau I cycled under the huge, famous bridge that is incredibly high and long.

I continued all along the Tarn.

Late in the evening I spent the night on a campsite in Ambialet.

Originally I wanted to go directly to Carcassonne and cycle towards the coast along the Canal du Midi. But to go to Toulouse and cycle even more of the canal was also an option.

Toulouse or not Toulouse, that was the question. As Jean-Baptiste and his wife had invited me to stay at their house, I decided to go to Toulouse.

After lots of cycling on the road I reached the town in the late afternoon. Toulouse was a surprisingly interesting, green and bike-friendly town, so I was happy about my decision.

I spent a very nice evening with them, ready to go the Canal du Midi for the next two days.
