Day 78+79: Canal du Midi

The Canal du Midi leads out of Toulouse towards the mediterranean coast, so this was where I was heading.
For the whole first section the canal is completely underneath the big trees.

Later it opens up a little more.

I spent the night on the halfway mark in Carcassonne with its beautiful castle.

The canal continued and opened up more towards Narbonne.

I cycled South and reached Port-la-Nouvelle where I stayed in a small hotel as thunderstorms were possible for the night.
