Day 80: Tropical Minigolf

Now it was all South along the coast. It was very cloudy mostly before noon when I cycled along the empty beaches.

There is a lot of entertainment offered along the coast near Perpignan. I loved the "Tropical Minigolf" when I passed it, so I had to play it.

For the first 11 holes I kept the score together and was on even par. Here a look down the fairway at the 8th.

At the 11th a great tee shot gave me a tap-in par.

But the course was tricky and all day long I had to make these tough par puts.

I struggled down the stretch with some doubles on the back nine and finished 12 over par.

However, I loved playing there because it was much more fun and interesting than the standard mini golf courses.

In the late afternoon I visited Colliure, a small coast town.

I had taken a hotel to watch the american football season opener at night. So I spent an easy evening in Agerlès-sur-Mer with a very good dinner.

The tourist sections at the beach are not very crowded, probably because the school holidays in France ended on Sunday.
