Day 45: Into Siena

Once more I enjoyed the pool in the morning after a great breakfast and continued through the heart of tuscany towards Siena.

Around noon I stopped in Castellina in Chianti where I had bruschetta.

The next destination was Monteriggioni which was already very close to Siena.

In this place there is another production site of my former company. I spent a great hour there talking with the people I had enjoyed working with.

Also there is the castle on top of the mountain which is very much worth a visit.

In the afternoon I arrived in Siena and was looking for ice cream. When I found a small place I was insecure about the quality. Then I saw the owner talk to a customer's dog. I thought he seems to be a good person and a good person would not hand out bad quallity to people. So I got some ice cream and it was the best I had since Triest.

The town of Siena itself is obviously also impressive with its special centre and the rich history.

So I roamed around for some time and settled down in a small hotel.
