Out of Florence I dove right into the Chianti region.
It was another very hot day and also very hilly, but the views were always interesting.
The tough conditions and the many times I stopped to look around were the reason I only had covered 35 km at 5.30.
When I passed a B & B sign I wanted to check the prices in the region and continue.
When I rang the bell the dog came out to greet me and did not even bark once. That caused me to think very positively about the place, and as the price was also good I decided to stay.
Not at all did I know that I had found a heavenly place. Paolo and Angelica were very friendly owners and the property with the views and the pool was amazing.
The cat was equally relaxed.
I would always like to write more about the many people I meet during the trip. Mostly this is not possible because I simply don't have enough time for it.
The other guests were all wonderful people and I had long conversations with all of them during the time at the pool and while just sitting out in the dark to close out the evening.
Paolo and Angelica were all you can ask for in a host. I can strongly recommend the "Il Casello Country House B & B" and I'm sure I will be back in the future.
