Day 47: Olive trees in Lazio

From the top of the mountain I just rolled down what I had climbed up the day before. I was late and tried to cover up some distance, but it was very hot. At this little place in the middle of nowhere I got some rest and cold drinks.

As I was approaching the lake of Bolsena, the landscape was dominated by olive trees.

I had to go around the lake through Bolsena where I stopped to get a good look at the water.

With the lake behind me it started raining, and the road also had become very uncomfortable.

I had decided to get a room somewhere between towns, so I left the street to see a B & B which I had discovered on the map.
It was a small place in the middle of an olive farm, and it was not very expensive.
Again I was very lucky! The owner was very friendly and there was a pool around the house.

I had a great room with a terrace just for myself overlooking the beautiful landscape.

What a great way to end the difficult day with Rome just 65 km away.
