All that was left to see from Vienna was the zoo and the castle which are located in the park of Schönbrunn.
It was not very crowded when I entered at 9.30, so I enjoyed my time there for two hours.
Obviously I wanted to see the pandas, but all I could get this day was a panda butt because the only one outside was hiding and sleeping.
The view of the castle with the city in the background made up for it.
As it was still early I left Vienna trying to reach Bratislava.
Initially it went along the Danube.
But soon the route went away from it through unexpected beautiful nature which I enjoyed very much.
The castle and the park of Eckartsau where equally interesting.
I was closing in on Slovakia.
Bratislava emerged in the background.
When I entered the city it just hit me and I was amazed that I had cycled to Slovakia. Until now I had only been in German speaking regions with the exception of Alsace, but because I live very close to Belgium I'm used to French.
Here was a language I did not even remotely understand. I loved it and the first impressions of the city as well.
