Day 23: Vienna city tour

Rain was predicted for nearly the entire day. But when I startes off in the morning it was cloudy but dry while at times even the sun came out.

Even on my way to the center I enjoyed the views of the many beautiful buildings in town.

The city park near the center was small but had a Central Park flair.

On my way I crossed interesting places.

Having reached the inner city, I quickly looked for the café Demel where you should have the famous Sacher cake, so this is what I did.

After this tasty experience I was back on my bike touring the city, with the Museum quarter and the "Naschmarkt".

Wherever I looked there was beautiful architecture and history.

The Hundertwasser house with its fascinating front.

One of the final destinations for the day was the famous Prater, the year-round funfair in a huge area where the people can enjoy themselves not only in the park, but also on large meadows, sports facilities and the stadium.

From the place where we closed out the day watching the second semi-final the stadium was actually visible.
