That however would change in the evening.
But it was all perfect in the morning while I got a very early 5:45 start for the 120 km I wanted to go and I enjoyed the dawn very much.
I also ran right into a Penny market to fill up the water. And they had warm chroissants!
Ruhpolding and the little towns around were a very positive surprise.
At this place I spent half an hour resting and sitting just over the clear water.
Around the towns it was equally nice and interesting.
At 3 p.m. I was already closing in on 100 km for the day with the high mountains in the background where somewhere the Königssee was hiding. This view already showed that rain at the lake would be likely.
Just as I reached the lake it started pouring down and it never stopped. There was no way that I was camping tonight.
Very luckily again I found this small chamber for 19 € including breakfast! The friendly lady apologized for the small size but it was probably the greatest hotel room I had ever entered because of the situation.
All I could do was end the day sitting on the balcony surrounded by the Königssee mountains.
