The opportunity to buy some food and water came early in the town of Sisak.
When I saw a bicycle logo in a quiet section of the town I just decided to take a look. It was a great decision as Saša was a great and open guy who immediately took the time to mount new breaks.
Sisak was already nicer than many other towns before, and the small towns that followed also became more beautiful.
I took the opportunity to go away from the main street to see a bit of the surrounding nature.
This lead me to a quiet place without any people where I could just sit for a while.
The Plitvicka lakes were 50 km away and I could feel that the tourist section was coming.
Also it became more beautiful. I found a host in the city of Slunj. Just before it there were small waterfalls that gave a first taste of the big ones in Plitvicka.
After all the great things happening that day I met two more amazing people. Frane is living in Slunj, he cycled to a world cup game in Russia and is the most open and giving person you will find.
He also hosted Kabi from Switzerland who has Sri Lanka roots and is cycling to India. We instantly connected and enjoyed the rest of the evening when we discovered the many similarities in our personality and experiences.
