Day 30: Hills and more friendly hosts

You will not find a better person than Mladen who hosted me in his small hotel.

It was nice start into the country to meet such friendly people.

Probably I would have disliked Croatia without this experience, because right after I left it became hilly for the rest of the day.

For one hour I was using only my lowest and highest gear while crossing very small villages.
I was happy to come to the slightly larger town of Dulovac to get some food.

The buildings in the small villages were often broken, though many times I wondered if this was damage or just unfinished work.

One of the very few spots to get real ice cream was Danuvar.

Whenever I reached a bigger town I was thinking the hilly part is over, but I was always wrong.

Looking for a campspot, I went away from the main road.

Accidently I ran into this nice farming property that offered a camping opportunity.

The host was also very friendly and open. He gave me the option to take a small room and I had a few beers with him while enjoying his stories and comedy.

I went to my room and started making plans on how to get through this country, because the up and down was very difficult and until now I was only in the flat region!
