We had enjoyed an emotional last minute victory by the German team, so Antonio and I took a picture with the German flag when I left in the morning.
After meeting another customer I started off towards Strassbourg. I was late but the long open bicycle road motivated me to catch it up.
I had already entered France without realizing it. The route went mostly along the Rhine, but also sometimes cut through small French villages.
My lesson for today wss that the French seem to have flowers on all the small bridges which feels very inviting when crossing them.
Late in the evening I reached Strassbourg which gave a great first impression when I passed a park to reach a campsite on the German side of the river.
The campsite was the final good experience of the day which was more like a transfer but still a good experience.
My tent neighbour was Michael, a great and open guy from Czech Republic who was cycling to Portugal. We chattet shortly about our freedom and soon ended the day as we had both done more than 110 km.
