Day 104-106: Frigiliana, Malaga, Ronda

The next morning I spoke to the hotel reception about my struggles. Marcelo, one of the staff members, left and came back with a repair set from one of the Chinese shops that are open on Sundays. We tried to repair the bike, but after all the tube was too damaged.
So Marcelo took me and my bike to his house and gave me two of his tubes so I could continue! What great people I meet!

So as it was already past noon, I had to hurry to reach Frigiliana. It meant that I would have seen absolutely nothing of Granada, but that was fine as long as I would not lose a day and my reservation.

The easy part was downhill to the sea, then it went up and down along the coast.

Frigiliana is located in the hills near the coast. Initially it was very cloudy.

But it was all clear the next morning when I walked the beautiful white scenery.

I continued towards Malaga which is a beautiful, big and very clean town at the coast.

After spending the night in a great apartment, another tough day was ahead of me with the destination being Ronda in the mountains. It was a tough climb but I was all on my own in the amazing mountain setting of the Sierra de las Nieves.

To reach Ronda I had to go from zero at the coast in Malaga up to 1200 meters. Near the top of the route there was complete silence, only broken by the bells of a large group of goats.

Ronda was well worth the effort as I enjoyed the view onto the famous bridge in the sunset.

As much as I dislike the uphill days, the times in the mountains are always amazing experiences.
