Day 20: Traun and Danube river

This was supposed to be just a transfer day without any major destinations, but it turned out to be one of the most exciting and interesting days so far.

From the Traunsee I had to follow the Traun towards Linz where it meets the Danube.

Sometimes the route went away from the river through nice Austrian villages. It was flat and the characteristics of the landscape and villages were very similar to what I have at home, which I liked very much.

Suddenly this awesome bridge appeared in front of me when I went around a corner back to the river. With the dense trees at both sides and the colour of the river I thought this is what I would imagine the Amazonas to look like.

I remained on the bridge for quite some time before I continued while it remained equally beautiful.

Whererver I went there were nice details to see.

Slowly I was approaching the point near Linz where the Traun leads into the Danube.

Finally I got my first impression of the Danube river.

Also here it was always changing and interesting.

In Enns I had to cross the river on the little ferry.

The route went away from the river through villages.

Finally I met some nice people at a very small hotel asking for camping spots, but I decided to take a room and stay there.
