Over the lang straight I entered Venice.
The expectations were high and I was not disappointed by the early impressions.
Quickly I found a cheap hotel that also solved the problem of parking my bicycle safely.
So from now on it was a lot of walking, but I thought it is the best way to see Venice. I was not even interested in getting on a boat.
In this quiet section I had a quick lunch. The most positive surprise was that it was not crowded. Only along the main canal were many people, but here it is something that does not ruin the scenery, like in nature.
So I happily walked around the quiet parts for the rest of the day while enjoying the views.
I took a shower and went back out to see the city at night.
