It was a very eventful day. I left the campsite near the lake early and the trail went away from the shore for a little while.
The area was very green with many beautiful sights.
The small town of Langenargen offered a rich history. There is a suspension bridge in town that was built in 1898, a technical sensation at the time. The plans of the bridge were presented at the world fair in Paris in 1900.
Soon it was back to the lake, so before leaving it for good I wanted to kayak on it.
From Lindau I went away from the lake towards the Allgäu region.
Just a few turns and the landscape changed completely.
I ran out of water just when it began to get pretty hilly, so I tried to get apple juice when I passed an apple farm.
It was closed on a Sunday, but the generous lady gave me water with a shot of their holunder juice.
I continued up and down through the beautiful Allgäu scenerie with very small villages and hills with meadows, cows and forests.
In the middle of this pure nature I discovered a leafless tree that was decorated with bottle caps in all kind of colours.
Desperately needing power for my devices, I decided to stay in this nice hotel that offered a great price including breakfast. Also I could shave, so it was an all win situation.
